So yesterday when I saw cute pink hippos at IKEA, I was seriously considering buying one. But then I saw sharks and decided to get one for Sharkdog. Normally when Sharkdog gets a new toy, he's very hesitant about it at first. He'll dance around it, trying to sniff it without getting too close, and eventually he'll start playing with it. But when I showed him the shark, he tried to grab it immediately. And he played with it for quite a while. He even brought it to bed last night.

I've read 2 blogs this morning and both talked about Hippo's. The other one was from Tam (in Africa) and she actually saw a pond with lots of real hippo's ..not little pink ones from IKEA. Same pond had lots of big crocidiles..not sharks.
Yall are crazy and Sharkdog is too cute! Wish I could get Trigger to look that cute in a picture. :-) Hope you guys have a Merry Christmas in a new country this year!
Mom - I hope Tam was careful. I've heard hippos can be pretty mean. Did you check out the link? Did it bring back lots of fond memories?
Summer - It's a good thing we have a digital camera, because that photo of Sharkdog was one out of out about 10. I don't like using the flash, but if Sharkdog moves at all the picture is blurry. Sometimes I just get lucky.
