When I saw it, I didn't realize the word "embiggen" comes from an episode of The Simpsons. What an embarrassment! Apparently this word has been in popular use for more than a decade and I'm just now learning it. Perhaps I need to embiggen my vocabulary. And watch more Simpsons.

I used this word the other day and my boss reminded me that it was a Simpsons reference. I couldn't believe I forgot, either!
It's a perfectly cromulent term.
