I also changed the blog template so the colors would coordinate with the banner colors. Do you like the template? I haven't decided if I'm going to keep it or try another one. There is another template that has darker blues. It would look like this -- the first picture includes the banner and the second includes the sidebar:

What do you think? I'm going to try something a little different. I've added a poll to the sidebar and would like to get your feedback. Let's call the current template "Thisaway Blue (current)" and the alternative option "Minima Blue". (I didn't just come up with some crazy names -- these are the actual names of the templates on Blogger.) So go ahead and vote and let me know which you prefer. The poll feature is pretty new in Blogger, so if it's not working -- it doesn't look like it's working right now -- you can leave your vote in the comments. Updated 8/4: I saw info on blogger that there is a known issue with the poll, so I've removed it. Please leave your vote in the comments.

How embarrassing! I'm going to blame it on a sticky key. :) I've replaced the banner with the new and improved, new and improved banner.
I like the darker background personally - maybe it's because our blog has a dark background too. :-) Thanks for all the updates, by the way!

The banner is wicked impressive. I can't do any of that stuff. That's why I have an in-house, highly paid IT guy to fix computer stuff for me.
I like the lighter blue.
The blog looks great but I can't actually say that I remember what it looked like before. I'm here for the content...not the banner or template. We've been without phone service for about 4 days now...which means we've also been without DSL so I haven't been online in the evening. Hope you're getting settled in. Love you lots.
It looks like the light blue is going to win. I prefer dark backgrounds, but I think the light blue may go better with the banner. And I don't want to alienated my 30-something crowd with failing eyesight. So I guess I'll stick with this template... for now anyways.
ISTOCK...OH YEAH!! Of course I'm sure you supported your own team-mate contributors by buying some of his photos, but I have yet to check my download stats...I'm voting for dark blue.
